Greetings and Happy New Year to our Dharma Friends, We wish you all health and happiness and look forward to continuing to spread the Buddha Dharma together. Last year’s virtual Sangha was a success. We may not meet physically but we are connected spiritually, reaching many people on a broader scope than we had before with Dharma friends joining us from New York, Greece, Switzerland! In the coming months, we are planning to host weekend-long teachings with our Lamas and Khenpos. So look out for announcements soon. On January 26 we are happy to announce that Lama Karma will be joining us to teach on Self Liberation. We will continue Chenrezig long and short-form practice, additionally, we will start the 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva every week. From learning to recognize the essence of mind to bringing wisdom and compassion into our everyday lives, The 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva is an indispensable guide to developing Bodhicitta, the commitment to the awakening of all beings. These teachings on how to train our minds show us that our problems and difficulties can be the raw material that allows us to awaken authentic love and compassion for ourselves and others. At this extraordinarily challenging moment in history, these teachings on how to discover the best in all of us seem more timely than ever. PLEASE NOTE: Zoom credentials for our regular sessions will remain the same. Inspirational Quote: You might wonder how something you are doing primarily with your mind could affect your body. How could practicing Medicine Buddha preserve your physical health or alleviate physical sickness? You might think that the mind and body are fundamentally unrelated, and therefore, the practice of meditation cannot affect our bodies. In fact, our bodies and minds are extensively interrelated. The body supports or is the container for the mind, but the body is also based upon, or supported by the mind. Therefore, the practice of meditation does affect your body and your physical state.
