Approaching Mahamudra: Preliminaries and Practices
According to the Buddha, the nature of our minds is awareness, clarity, and emptiness. If we experience our minds this way, we live in harmony with all of those around us, and internally experience great inner wisdom, clarity, and compassion. But discovering this inner essence can be difficult without a method or technique. Therefore, the Buddha taught tranquility and insight meditation to discover and uncover this nature. This Dharma Talk will teach both the theory and practice of tranquility and insight meditation, based on the Mahamudra meditation teachings of the Karma Kagyu tradition. It is suitable for all levels of practice and understanding.

Sunday, June 14, 10 AM -12 PM
Awakened Mind in Life and Death
When pain and suffering arise suddenly in our lives, we might feel that our world has somehow come to an end and that we’re not sure who we are in this new reality. This groundless feeling can cause fear and apprehension – but it also could be the beginning of something inspiring and new. This Dharma talk will review how cultivating inner stability of mind can help us transform some of life’s biggest challenges.

Dharma teachings are traditionally presented on the basis of Dana which is offered to a teacher in recognition of the precious gift that has been given. To donate for this teaching please use this link here and we will then send you the Zoom invite.
(no one turned away for lack of funds)

Looking forward to seeing you all there!
